Kändler , with the crowned figure of Europe riding a prancing horse side-saddle, holding an orb and sceptre, wearing a yellow-lined purple robe and a turquoise-lined flowered skirt, the horse rearing up on its hind legs and supported below by rocks, a globe, gilt protractor and an open book below, two tree-stumps at the reverse, on an elongated shaped oval mound base applied with flowers and foliage (restoration to sceptre, crown, horse's left foreleg, three branches lacking from tree-stumps disguised by small over-painting, very small restored chip to horse's left ear, slight wear) 7¼ in.
