CIRCA 1726-1728, THE PORCELAIN GILT IN AUGSBURG BY ABRAHAM SEUTER, THE TEABOWLS AND SAUCERS WITH FAINT LUSTRE A S AND THE TEAPOT WITH L H MARKS, ONE SILVER GILT TEACADDY MARKED FOR ELIAS ADAM AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1725, THE OTHER INDISTINCTLY MARKED POSSIBLY SPAIN, 18TH CENTURY, THE SPOONS UNMARKED PROBABLY AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1725
A Meissen Goldchinesen porcelain and silver-gilt tea service in a fitted case CIRCA 1726-1728, THE PORCELAIN GILT IN AUGSBURG BY ABRAHAM SEUTER, THE TEABOWLS AND SAUCERS WITH FAINT LUSTRE A S AND THE TEAPOT WITH L H MARKS, ONE SILVER GILT TEACADDY MARKED FOR ELIAS ADAM AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1725, THE OTHER INDISTINCTLY MARKED POSSIBLY SPAIN, 18TH CENTURY, THE SPOONS UNMARKED PROBABLY AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1725 The porcelain painted with gesticulating Orientals at various pursuits, some holding umbrellas and wearing funny hats, further with monkeys, birds, etc., upon consoles, the borders with gilt ornamental motifs, comprising: a squat globular teapot and cover (chip and fritting to cover), the curved spout issuing from a grotesque mascaroon, with loop handle, the cover connected with a chain to the handle and spout, with tiny 'Oriental hat'-finial, 11.2 cm. high, six teabowls and saucers (one bowl with small chip, one bowl and one saucer with small hairline crack, one saucer repaired), the interior of the teabowls with a bird perched on a branch, a matching set of silver-gilt oval teacaddies engraved with scrolling foliate ornaments, 10 cm. wide, four similar spoons, in a contemporary hinged shaped rectangular leather travelling case, the interior lined with emerald-green velvet, the exterior outlined in gilt 15 x 38 cm.
