Nine different scraps of fabric are used, most of which we would throw in the dustbin, but it is very finely embroidered, especially in interlacing stitch, various embroidery fragments (In-72); and a Banjara boyÆs cap with a hood of small geometric patterns, mainly diamonds, in red, green, yellow, black, and with a double row of coloured pompoms around the crown, the cotton æshawlÆ base in sections of black, red, green, yellow with fine appliquÒ, (In-154). æThe only one IÆve ever seen. I went to Kutch after the Jodphur wedding. Though it was very hot and the wrong time of year, I had always wanted to go there. Luckily it was before the earthquake. I explained to the hotel in Bhuj that I had come to look at embroideries and immediately the local dealer, Wazir, was there.
