Surmounted by a bell over four free standing turned columns, on a plain brass baseplate and mounted on a shitan base, the 2.25 inch dial centred by a fixed, pierced steel hand reading against movable chapters, within an engraved mask with two further apertures, depicting chrysanthemums, the spring driven movement with chain fusee to the going train with verge escapement, with brass balance wheel with sliding timing weights to the central bar, the strike train with going barrel and outside countwheel strike mounted on the engraved backplate.
