A PAINTED PINE ESTATE CUPBOARD EARLY 18TH CENTURY The doors opening to an arrangement of shelves, pigeon holes and drawers, the drawers with applied handwritten labels with reference to Duchy Leases, Nankivells House and St Austell. One side of the cupboard with a carved witch's rune of overlapping circles 214cm high, 95cm wide, 55cm deep Provenance: The handwritten inscriptions on the drawers indicate that this cupboard was used as an estate cupboard or cabinet in Cornwall. The inscriptions suggest this was almost certainly the Duchy estate. The Royal Duchy of Cornwall estate was created in the 14th century by Edward III.
