A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER TEA-CADDIES AND A SUGAR BOWL AND COVER, EN SUITE MARK OF WILLIAM VINCENT, LONDON, 1770 The caddies each shaped oblong on shell, flower and foliage feet, the sides repoussé and chased with flowering branches, the detachable covers each with a rose finial, the bowl circular with wirework sides, applied with flowering branches, the conforming cover with rose finial, with a later blue glass liner, each engraved with a coat-of-arms, all in a fitted silver-mounted shagreen case, the caddies marked underneath and on cover, the bowl marked on foot and inside cover, the handle and mounts on the case apparently unmarked the case 12 in. (30.5 cm.) long 28 oz. (870 gr.) The arms are those of Stackhouse impaling Rashleigh, for William Stackhouse of Trehane, co. Cornwall and his wife Mary, daughter of Jonathan Rashleigh of Menabilly, MP for Fowey. (3)
