A PAIR OF LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND SATINWOOD BOOKCASE-CABINETS ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS, CIRCA 1790 Each with a dentil-molded cornice above a pair of pewter astragal glazed doors enclosing an arrangement of small drawers and adjustable shelves, each base with oval kingwood inlaid drawers, one fitted as a secretaire with three long drawers below on plinth bases, a bookplate inside one small drawer engraved with a coat-of-arms and THOS WELD ESQ. LULWORTH , the back of each upper section with a printed paper label WHITE & CO., LTD. FURNITURE DEPOSITORIES. LULWORTH CASTLE. NO. 135., NO. 146. and inscribed in yellow chalk OXFORD , fitted with small ivory handles, the brass handles apparently original, one glass pane lacking, both glazed interiors formerly fitted with dividers 98½ in.
