circa 1890 both made in four separate sections and one with a cover, richly decorated with bands of dark blue, turquoise and gold ground panels overlaid with raised gold ornament and enamelled grotesques, each vase reserved on both sides with large finely painted classical panels signed by Wagner, one depicting the death of Euridyce, the reverse with Venus and Mars, the other with Thetis and Achilles, the reverse with Ariadne and Bacchus, smaller grisaille panels in between and on the domed covers, 102cm high, shield marks, the panels signed 'F Wagner Wien' (one vase broken and restuck and lacking its cover, slight wear to some gilding) (one vase only illustrated)
