A PAIR OF NAPOLEON III EBONISED AND GILT METAL MOUNTED SIDE CABINETS CIRCA 1870 Each cabinet mounted with Sevres style porcelain plaques each 214cm high, 88cm wide, 46cm deep Condition Report: There are some marks, scratches, knocks, chips, splits and abrasions consistent with age and use. There are losses and restorations including missing and re-glued sections of brass inlay; wear to the gilding of some of the porcelain panels; chips and knocks to the ebonised wood with some of the pale underlying wood being revealed; splits including to the top of one cabinet; lacking small veneers; come craquelure to the ebonised finish; later lights fitted to the interior of the glazed cabinet sections; the interiors lined with green damask fabric; later stops to the doors with abrasions from the door.
