A PORTUGUESE FIVE PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY, Lisbon, post 1938, stamped Pimenta, comprising tea kettle on stand and lamp, teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl and cream jug, each panelled pear shaped, on four foliate scroll feet, the panels flat chased with foliate scrolls, rocaille and vacant foliate cartouches, with part foliate scroll handle and applied foliate shell and scroll rim, the pots with fluted double scroll, stylized bird's head, spout, the hinged, part engraved, high domed cover topped by beaded bud finial, the twice chained, tea kettle with fixed overhead handle, the circular base on four bold foliate scroll supports on stepped shaped circular feet-- the tea kettle on stand over handle 21½in. (54.6cm.) high ; the shaped rectangular tray with conforming engraving to the far ground and molded border, with similarly applied rim, the two handles with dolphin's mask and foliate terminals-- length over handles 30in. (76.2cm.), gross weight 399oz.
