A RARE CLOISONNE ENAMEL JAR, GUAN MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY The high-shouldered jar is decorated around the body with a continuous scene of the Eight Daoist Immortals standing amidst rolling waves with colourful cloud scrolls above. The primary decorative band is enclosed between lotus petals on the shoulder and lappets enclosing floral sprigs on the spreading foot. 12 5/8 in. (32 cm.) high
