A SAADIAN WOVEN SILK DOUBLE PANEL PROBABLY FEZ, MOROCCO, 16TH/17TH CENTURY Comprising two joined panels, each woven with a central column of a wide variety of panels of different motifs, mostly geometric, but with bands of inscriptions and also bands of trees and birds at each end, flanked on each side by broad plain red stripes bounded by small floral stripes, small holes at one end, a couple of splits, well preserved colours 116 x 73in. (290 x 186cm.)
