Beschreibung:

A Second World War US Army Winter Issue Peak Visor Cap, bronzed badge and brown leather chin-strap, the silk liner marked 'Wimbledon, Regulation U.S. Army Officer's Comfort Caps'. This style of cap, when worn by aircrew, of the US Army Air Force, was often customised by the removal of the stiffening wire from the rim, allowing the cap to be turned down at the sides to produce what was termed the '50 Mission Crush'. The intention was to make it appear that the hat had been worn on 50 flying missions, the look being the result of wearing radio earphones over the cap; A Second World War US Army Officer's Full Dress Peak Visor Cap, bronzed badge, black peak with embrodied oakleaves, gold lace chin-strap secured by two General Service gilt buttons, the silk lining 'Luxemberg, Military, Civilian Tailors'; A Second World War US Airforce Cap, blue cloth, silver piping, the silk liner marked 'Flight Ace, Ace Manufacturing Co, Inc, San Antoio, Texas'; A World War Two USAAF, Expanding Cartridge Collecting Bag, type .50 calibre Browning machine gun (aerial pattern), nose gun B17, Flying Fortress, made by Benkia, Arsenal, Ohio.
