A SET OF FOUR GEORGE II GRAINED BEECH HALL CHAIRS MID-18TH CENTURY Each with an arched back above a cartouche-shaped pierced splat painted with the coat-of-arms of Lord Maynard bearing the motto 'MANUS JUSTA NARDUS', above a solid mahogany dished seat with a squab cushion covered in buttoned yellow velvet, on shaped arched legs joined by conforming stretchers, one chair with label to the underside inscribed in ink 'H' and three chairs with a green-bordered label inscribed in ink '7', restorations and replacements to the decoration, two chairs with replaced seats and railing 39¼ in.
