A silver-gilt presentation bratina Cyrillic mark of Pavel Ovchinnikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1895 Circular, on beaded stepped foot, the body repoussé , chased and engraved with eight lobed reserves containing allegorical and mythological animals, with foliate strapwork roundels beneath, each within reeded entwined borders, with a twisted rope-work border above, the everted rim engraved with a presentation inscription in Russian, marked on foot and under base 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) high; The Russian inscription on the rim translates as: 'For the president of the French Republic Félix Faure from the city of Moscow 1897.'
