A SIX-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, 1906-1908, comprising tea-kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, cream-jug and waste-bowl, each urn-form with incurved corners, on quatrefoil rim foot, chased with flowers and foliate scrolls to the corners, and enclosing shaped ovals, the front monogrammed, with foliate scapped scroll handle, applied rim, the raised hinged cover with similar chased and topped by baluster finial; the tea-kettle with overhead swing handle, the raised diamond shaped stand with similarly chased and with shell corners, on decorated openwork scroll supports-- height of tea-kettle on stand over handle 13¼in. (33.6cm.), gross weight 123.5oz.
