A SMALL PAIR OF INLAID BLACK LACQUER CUSHION-FORM BOXES AND COVERS QING DYNASTY (1644-1911) Each with domed cover inlaid in the center with a gold chrysanthemum encircled by concentric rows of fine flower diaper inlaid in gold flakes and irridescent pieces of mother-of-pearl interrupted by a narrow band of circles and repeated on the sides of the box which is raised on a ring foot, with a tiny flower sprig inlaid inside the cover and a chrysanthemum sprig inside the box, with a two-character seal, Qianli, inlaid in gold wire on the base 1½ in.
