Spencer Model 1860 lever action repeating carbine with 22" round barrel chambered in .56-56 Spencer Rimfire with flip up rifle rear sight graduated to 800 yards and brass insert blade front sight. 2 piece walnut stock and forearm in carbine configuration with single barrel band, saddle ring on left side, and military buttplate with magazine tube inside. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to a gray patina with light storage and handling marks throughout. Stock is good as lightly sanded with cartouche illegible, repaired crack at forearm a small crack on left side of forearm and several light cracks near buttplate. Good mechanics. Bore is frosted with scattered abrasion throughout and well-defined 3 groove rifling.
