A Stuart Swan twin vertical cylinder reversing condensing marine engine built by Stuart Turner Ltd. 1982 -- 16 x 18in. (40.5 x 45.8 cm) With twin cylinders 2¼in. bore x 2in. stroke, draincocks, gear and eccentric driven lubricator pump, inlet and exhaust manifolds, trunk type crosshead guides, lever and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalnaced crankshaft in three main bearings, gear and eccentric driven A.C. vacuum and two boiler feed pumps and disc flywheel with'V' belt groove. Finished in metalic green and brightwork. Cast bed on wood bearers NOTE: THIS ENGINE WAS OVERHAULED IN 1986 WHEN THE CONNECTING RODS WERE RENEWED IN STAINLESS STEEL AND ALL BEARINGS REFITTED. PIPEWORK HAS BEEN BLANKED FOR STORAGE AS THE ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN USED SINCE 1988.
