REMY', CIRCA 1780 Comprising two fauteuils and four chaises, each with oval incurved padded back headed by laurel sprays, the fauteuils with downswept arms, covered in close-nailed ivory and gold silk, over a laurel-carved seat frame, on tapering fluted legs ending in toupie feet, redecorated, with pencil inscriptions to undersides 'VLM' and 'RB/WTA', with paper label to one 'Swaythling Heirlooms' and number '463', one with inscription 'Stanton' in black ink to the webbing (6)
