A VERY FINE PAIR OF SPANISH MADRID-LOCK HOLSTER PISTOL with browned barrels turned at the muzzle, octagonal then polygonal at the breech and with chiselled girdle, signed and dated on the octagonal section and stamped with six gold-filled marks (including New Stockel 7461-2), gold vents and pierced silver loops, the base of which forms the forward ramrod-pipe, signed and dated locks engraved with shells and scrolls, stained fruitwood full stocks, heavy silver mounts cast and chased with military trophies in relief; and ivory-tipped ramrods, by Francisco Antonio Garcia, Madrid, dated 1791 17½in.
