A Victorian Silver Commemorative Chalice - by Frederick Elkington Birmingham 1877, the flared cup with a lobed base, on a knopped column to a raised spreading foot, near to the rim is a moulded band inscribed in Gothic script 'Victoria Dei Gratia Britannia Regina P.D. 1877', and to one side of the cup a VR monogram in a circular cartouche with a crown above, and to the other the numeral 3 within a quatrefoil, within a circle having fleur de lys motifs to the compass points, 26cm tall, 423g (13.6 oz) gross
