A VIENNA (LATER-DECORATED) IRIDESCENT-PLUM GROUND CABARET THE PORCELAIN LATE 18TH-EARLY 19TH CENTURY, BLUE BINDENSCHIELD MARK TO MOST PIECES, THE DECORATION LATER IN THE 19TH CENTURY The tray finely painted after Guido Reni with 'The Rape of Deianira', the other pieces painted after Angelika Kauffmann with amorous scenes, including 'Cupid's Revenge', 'The Triumph of Love' and 'Cupid's struggle with the Graces to recover his Arrows', all with a gilt border of spades centering acanthus and anthemion, comprising: An oval tray, 16½ in. (42 cm) long A teapot and cover A hot-milk jug and cover A cream jug A sugar-bowl and cover Two cups and saucers An 18th century tooled red leather box fitted in cream silk for a similar cabaret but not original to this service (13)
