A WILLIAM IV GOLD MEMENTO MORI LOCKET FRAME UNMARKED, CIRCA 1835 With applied foliate scrollwork interspersed with black drops and flowers, suspension ring at top, interior with glass top and lined in dark brown silk, one side inscribed To the memory of my beloved child, Charles Moore Stewart, Born 5th March 1799, Died 15th Feb.y 1831, God's Will be done/but Memory still with more than Egypt's art/Embalming every grief that wounds the heart/Sits at the fountain she has raised to woe/And feeds the source whence tears must ever flow 2½ in. high (6.5 cm.)
