A WILLIAM IV SILVER THREE PIECE TEA SERVICE, maker's mark of the Barnard Bros., London, 1831, comprising teapot, gilt lined two handled sugar basin and baluster cream jug, each compressed melon form on four multi water lily and foliate supports, the shoulder two sides with vacant shaped oval cartouche, flanked by panels chased with fruit or floral cluster, each shaped panel on stippled ground, with leaf divider between, with elaborate foliate wrapped partly reeded scroll handle, the everted rim chased with further water lilies bordered by rocaille, the teapot with foliate wrapped and rocaille scroll spout, the hinged fluted raised cover topped by cast water lily finial-- the teapot 6½in. (16.5cm.) high, gross weight 42.5oz. (3)
