Winchester Model 1886 full magazine lever action rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1891. Blued 26" round rifled barrel in .45-70 caliber with full blued tubular magazine, sheared blade front sight, and replaced rear notch adjustable sight and marked with Winchester 2 line address. Case hardened action with plain trigger and blued loading gate. Walnut standard grade stock with steel crescent buttplate and matching standard grade walnut forearm. CONDITION: 40% thinning barrel blue fading to a plum patina. Action has faded to a silvery brown patina with loading gate fading to a silvery blue appearance. Wood has traces of original finish with some flaking and usage marks and dings with 3 hash marks below lower tang. Bright and shiny bore with crisp mechanics.
