Aaron of Pesaro . Toledot Aharon (a concordance of biblical passages cited in the Babylonian Talmud, arranged in the order of the Bible). Venice, Asher Parenzo for Bragadin, 1591-92, 17.8 x 11.7 cm. Gathered in 40 signed quires of 4 leaves=160 leaves (leaf 88 and final leaf 160 blanks), the signatures for the binder's guidance are both in Hebrew alphabet and in Arabic figures, printed in three columns, title page with the three crowns of the Bragadini printers' mark, title with owners' inscriptions and library stamp, some staining, minute worming in blank inner margins of leaves 36-39, tiny hole in leaf 3 affecting single letter, contemporary vellum with remnants of the ties, back cover and spine damaged, excellent condition. Toledot Aharon is printed in abbreviated form in most editions of the rabbinic Bible. This second edition enlarged by references to the Zohar, Isaac Arama's Akedat Yitschak and Joseph Albo's Ikarim. StCB 4377,3 and Fürst Vol.III 79; Not in: Zedner 1; Habermann Di Gara 134; Roest 4 + Anhang no. 2278; Ben-Jacob p.618 no.114 and Friedberg, Bet-Eked; All describing different edition from the same year (1591), with only 87 leaves and with title page mentioning only the indexes to the Chummash and Chamesh Megillot, which was probably an appendix to an edition of the Pentateuch.
