After Alfred Edward Chalon (British, 1780-1860) Lot of Three Works: John Knox Reproving the Ladies of Queen Mary's Court, signed in the plate "Engraved by W. T. Roden" l.r. and "Painted by A.E. Chalon. R.A." l.l., engraving on paper, sight size 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 in.; Portrait of a Friar, Hieronymi Ferrariensis a deo missi prophetae effigies, photographic reproduction, sight size 20 1/2 x 13 3/4 in.; and Profile Portrait of a Gentleman with a Pigtail, tinted photograph of a drawing, 11 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.; all framed. Condition: Knox with toning and staining, Gentleman with damage u.l. corner, not examined out of frames. N.B. Sold for the benefit of the Framingham History Center, Framingham, Massachusetts.
