Ab eodem correcti, & scholis illustrati, Tibullus, et Propertius, commentary by Marc Antoine Muret, 3 parts in 1, collation: A-T8 a-g8 2A-M8, italic and some Roman type, woodcut printer's device to titles, woodcut historiated initial, initial spaces with guide-letters, final f. blank, a few marginal repairs, some staining, tan calf doublures with gilt border, dark green straight-grain morocco by Bozerian le jeune, richly gilt, rubbed at extremities, g.e., 8vo (152 x 96mm; binding: 160 x 108mm.), Venice, [Paulus Manutius], 1562. ⁂ Provenance: 'Mr. James Russell Lowell saw this copy several times at the store of James Campbell 18 Tremont Street, Boston, and pronounced it the most beautiful copy of Catullus that he had ever seen' (part of a 19th century inscription to a front free endpaper).
