Flintlock with acorn-style brass trigger guard, buttplate, ferrules and nosecap. Two German silver inlays behind tang. Curly maple stock with checkered wrist. Phillip Creamer worked in Taneytown, Maryland from 1792-1805 and then in St Louis, Missouri. He later worked in Illinois. (See Sellers, 1983: 71). Condition: Entire rifle has a nice brown patina with pitting around the touch hole and flats of barrel. Stock has had some old restorations that are almost unnoticeable and very well done; with great patina.
