Amounderness Hundred.- The Accompte of George Duddell & George Carter high Constables of the hundred of Amoundernes, D.s., manuscript, 13pp., water-stained at tail affecting some text, central folds, slightly browned, original wrappers, soiled and ink stained, original brown wrappers, folio, Preston, 1st December 1646. *** From an ordinance for an assessment tax on property to be levied to raise money for parliament's prosecution of the Civil War, and a record of payments of money spent, for, amongst other things, "pay for the Brittish Army in Ireland", the total sum, £1594.5.0. Later ink inscription: "High Constables booke of w:t mony was raysed in Amounderness in Ollivers tyme."
