Brass stirrup hilt comprising shield-shaped languets, the front molded with Federal eagle, knucklebow molded with scrollwork; well modeled eaglehead pommel, the backstrap with stylized florals and vase. Checkered and fluted bone grip. Brass scabbard, the front engraved overall with florals. Condition: Blade showing dark patina overall with scattered light spotting, the edge with several nicks. Hilt fine and retaining perhaps slight traces of gilt finish. Grip with slight chipping below the pommel. Scabbard with scattered dents. See Illustration
