AN AMSTERDAM SCHOOL MAHOGANY AND SATIN-WOOD-VENEERED BOOKCASE, shaped rectangular top carved at the centre with a notched rim, and applied at each end with an ebonized reeded cylindrical ornament, above a plain frieze and a rectangular panelled cupboard door, the elongated octagonal panel veneered with satin-wood triangles to form radiating composition, flanked on either side by a glazed rectangular cupboard door, each set with an ebonized vertical strip of wood, on ebonized triple-disc feet below semi-parabola decoration, with three keys stamped J.J. Zyfers & Co. Amsterdam 124cm. high x 120cm. wide x 40cm. deep
