AND LATER With ancient and later scarabs in later gold mounts with turquoise spacers, the scarabs including a green glazed steatite scaraboid inscribed with ankh and nefer -signs, a good wish for a long life, a green glazed steatite scarab inscribed with ankh , wadj and nwb (gold) signs, both circa Dynasty XII (1991-1786 B.C.), and a turquoise faience scarab with cartouche of Tuthmosis III (1504-1450 B.C.), some scarabs modern, 16¼ in. (41.3 cm.) long overall; a turquoise glazed steatite scarab, the reverse with falcon-headed lion/sphinx with nefer -sign, with modern gold suspension loop, Dynasty XVIII, circa 1450 B.C.; four modern steatite scarabs, one in an openwork rosette brooch setting, another in a finger ring setting; and a wooden finger ring (7)
