An Italian diamond set bird ornament, mid to late 20th century, the robin like bird with a red breast and green plumage, with brilliant cut diamond eyes, standing on a rhodochrosite crystal base, with a brilliant cut diamond and enamel leaf stalk, approximately 0.24 carats total, 14cm (5 1/2in) high, 21.5cm (8 1/2in) long Condition Report: The bird has a chip to the beak, crazing to the body, the legs and stalk appear to be gold, but unable to see any markings. the bird is later glued to the base, chips to the enamel leaves, the diamond spray would probably have had a surround of petals.
