H. St J. Hornby'. Charles Harold Hornby (1867-1946), was a founding partner of W.H.Smith and deputy vice-chairman of the NSPCC. In 1945, his collection was sold by Henry Duke & Son, Dorchester. Some of his collection of antiques is now in the Victoria & Albert Museum.
