In one hand she holds a blossoming plum flower, suggestive of the poet and god of calligraphy Sugawara no Michizane. Beautiful yellow patina to the backside and honey spots throughout. Large and hollow himotoshi on the underside. LENGTH 8.2 cm Condition: Very good condition commensurate with age and handling. Provenance: British collection.
