AN UNUSUAL OPAQUE BUFF-COLORED JADE BANGLE NEOLITHIC/EARLY SHANG DYNASTY, CIRCA 16TH CENTURY BC, WITH LATER DECORATION Of slightly waisted circular form encircled by a narrow flange that bisects the exterior into two halves, one carved at a later date, possibly Eastern Zhou dynasty, with dissolved dragon scroll, the other half plain with two parallel grooves carved partially around the sides, the stone now opaque but still somewhat translucent and with satiny polish 3 in. (7.7 cm.) diam.
