FLOWN color-cacheted Apollo 11 NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Cover. 6 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. Six cent United States Flag stamp, cancellation stamp dated August 11, 1969 at Webster, Texas. Below cancellation is stamped: "Delayed in Quarantine at Lunar Receiving Laboratory. M.S.C. - Houston, Texas." Written at upper left, in BUZZ ALDRIN'S HAND: "EEA-9/CARRIED TO THE MOON ON APOLLO 11." This lot will be accompanied by a Typed Letter Signed from BUZZ ALDRIN.
Matted and framed (14 x 12 3/4 inches) together with small silver plaque reading: "From the Personal Collection of Buzz Aldrin, This First Day Cover that flew to the Moon as part of the Apollo 11 has been signed by Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins."
