Montelius was a Swedish archaeologist who dealt mainly with prehistoric studies and had the merit of a chronological classification of the Neolithic and Bronze Age based on the comparison of the types of the various European cultures. In this volume he published the testimonies of the Iron Age in Sweden, especially the various types of burial structures and burials of his nation.
