Ateret Mordechai, responsa on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch, Volume One. Rabbi Mordechai Zelvovitz of Riga. Riga, [c. 1938]. In the margins, more than 150 glosses in the author's handwriting, most long additions which he wrote as an appendix to his book – with the purpose of publishing it in a corrected and broader edition. The author pasted a leaf before the title page with a long inscription in his handwriting, mentioning the glosses he added to this copy and relating his intention to publish another volume and his aspiration to print the rest of his works: "Every place that was difficult to understand… many things were missed by the printers… and I wrote some things next to them in handwriting, and many things will appear in the second volume of responsa. I plan, with G-d's help to publish the second volume and my Olat Mordechai on the Talmud and Minchat Mordechai on my homiletics and pilpul on the Bible…". Under the pasted leaf, another list in the author's handwriting can be detected addressed to "My friend ---". Bound together with the book: A leaf in the author's handwriting with "Omissions from the edition from Page 84", and a letter with Torah thoughts [not complete] sent to the author by his brother.
