(Title very lightly browned, small hole affecting one letter on p.5.) Original printed wrappers (faded and with light waterstain). FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE. J. M. Barrie turned to Conan Doyle for help to finish his play Jane Annie , after having suffered from a nervous breakdown in February 1893. "As the whereabouts of the manuscript is not known, there is no way of telling with absolute certainty which parts are by which author." Jane Annie was first performed at the Savoy Theatre on 13 May 1893. "It was the policy of the Savoy Theatre to have the libretto or book of words on sale in the theatre. The author's revisions and obscurity of the play made new issues necessary". Green & Gibson C2.
