Beau volant en fine dentelle aux fuseaux, Belgique, fin du XIXème siècle. Très fine dentelle aux fuseaux à pièces rapportées type Valenciennes de Gand. Décor dans l'esprit Rococo à souple guirlande ondulante de feuillage et fruits, grands médaillons ourlés de palmes et à motifs fleuris éclairés par un réseau à larges mailles tressées. Coton couleur ivoire (bon état, qqs rousseurs, une coupure). Dim. 3,30 m + 2,60 m = 5,90 m x 7 cm A lovely edging of a fine Belgium bobbin lace dating from the end of the 19th cent, nice Rococo design of garlands of flowers and leaves, cartouches along the border, the motifs are made separately worked in cloth stitch or half stitch and they are assembled together with the ground worked round it, one is the simple tulle ground and one is a large mesh of plaited & twisted threads.
