[Belgium] GEORGE, Ernest (attributed to) sheets with drawings. 19th c Drawings, pencil, pen and black ink, greywash, watercolour, etc. On velin paper. Mounted on paper supports. Sketches with daily life scenes, sculptures, and mostly topographical views of Brussels, Cologne, Chambord, Chaumont made during visits in 1888-of Bruges in of Ghent in and Mechelen and Villers-la-Ville. A. Verbouwe, specialist in historical topography and known as author of several monographies in regional iconography, attributed the sketches to the British architectural watercolourist E. George (1839-1922). He also refers to an album "Sketches in Belgium", published in Joined: Part of a typed letter (x 21,5 cm) concerning Ernest George and signed by A. Verbouwe. (pcs)
