This work appears to be in good condition. On close inspection there are areas of paint loss and minor flaking across the lower register of the work. These areas of paint loss are concentrated near the subject's left and right legs, the largest of which measures approximately 20mm. There appears to be a minor dent and associated cracking to the board in the upper quadrant of the work. There are also areas of gold paint near the framing edge, where the frame's gold paint appears to have come into contact with the edge of the work. The work also exhibits minor surface dirt, and would benefit from a professional clean. Inspection under UV light reveals no clear signs of restoration or repair.
