This third Bible edition of Menasseh ben Israel's, prepared for the Amsterdam printer Johannes Janssonius was intended to range with Janssonius's Greek New Testament and the Latin Bible issued in 1639. As Menasseh's 1631-35 Hebrew Bible edition, it contains full vocalization and accentuation. Fuks: "Some copies do not have the Latin imprint. Because the date of finishing is given in the colophon as Kislev 5398 and the month of Kislev corresponds with 18 November until 17 December 1637, it is not clear, why the Latin imprint on the engraved title bears the date 1639, while the Hebrew date on the same title-page is correctly stated as 1637."
