Pergamentband der Zeit mit handschriftlichem Rückentitel (etwas fleckig und leicht gewellt).
Erste Ausgabe. – Nissen 372 und 374 (Fungorum historia) – Pritzel 1759. – Carolus Clusius (1526-1609) “was invaluable in describing the botanical treasures of the newly discovered parts of the world” (Schelenz 394). – Die Ausgabe (zugleich Band 1 der 2-bändigen Ausgabe seiner gesammelten Werke) enthält u.a. in Teil 2 (S. 261-295) die erste monographische Abhandlung über Pilze: “Fungorum in Pannoniis observatum brevis historia.” – Ohne das gestochene Porträt und ohne die 6 Blatt Index, die durch ein Register (4 Blatt) von alter Hand entsprechend der Nomenklatur von Linné ersetzt wurden. – Die ersten 2 Blatt mit schmalem Wasserrand oben, nur teilweise leicht gebräunt, die Holzschnitte teilweise mit sehr dezenten Bezeichnungen in Bleistift. – Gutes Exemplar.
First edition. – Contemp. vellum (somewhat stained, slightly warped). – Lacking engraved portrait. Without 6-page-index, replaced by 4 handwritten leaves with Linné’s nomenclature. First two leaves with little waterstaining to upper margin, pages only partly slightly browned. Very good copy.
