Boddington, Western Australia Located about 100km southeast of Perth, the Boddington Mine, now closed, was known for being a cobalt, copper, gold, lead, silver and zinc mine. A classic Australian locality for copper (the other well known area is Broken Hill) –this is an aesthetic specimen. Very three-dimensional and capable of standing on its own for display purposes. The robust crystals have some green oxidation and quartz crystals embedded here and there and it is apparently cuprite that gives it its reddish patina. Measuring 6 ½ x 3 x 2 in
