Binding : contemporary blind-tooled German pigskin over wooden boards (slight wear, the back joint cracking, a few small wormholes): the covers tooled with quintuple fillets to a concentric set of rectangular frames and panels, the intersections of the fillets marked with a small rosette, the compartments filled with a large leaf-shaped tool and a small repeating foliage tool, a large rosette in the center of each cover, the tools not in Kyriss or Schwenke-Sammlung ; plaited leather headbands; one brass clasp.
