Liquid-gold initials, paragraph marks and line-fillers painted on red and blue grounds. Ruled and underlined in red. (Several borders just shaved, title slightly soiled.) 18th-century French calf, triple-fillet borders on covers, flat spine richly gilt with fillets in a diaper pattern with gilt dots and decorative stamps, red morocco lettering piece, patterned floral gilt-paper endleaves, edges gilt (some worming to spine panel, light wear at extremities). Lacombe 293 describes a different Book of Hours, use of Paris, with same foliation and signatures A-Q, printed by Poitevin in the same year. Bohatta 284; Brunet V: 249; Graesse VII:371.
